I may be being thick, I am quite hungover....But I don't unserstand the first bit. You didn't realise your great nan was your great nan until last year?? I've read it 5 times and I can't make any sense out of it!

I had always been told she was a great aunt, then my nan was talking about family and reavealed my "great-aunt" was in fact my great-grandmother, that's why I only found out last year.
