I, on the other hand, am not prepared to suffer in the short term to acquire a taste for things that are, as they say, acquired tastes.

Coffee - tasted rank. Not having that again. Drank a cup in adulthood out of diplomacy. Still don't like it.

Guinness - tastes rank. Not having that again. Drank a pint because it was free. Still didn't like it. Drank two pints in Dublin because "it tastes better over here". Didn't like either of them.

Marmite - tastes rank. Not having that again.

Ladygarden - tastes rank. Not having that again.
