I don't understand the attraction

Just ignore them
and have a good time with your mates then. I find other people in clubs are often like NPCs in computer games. They're there to fill the environment without you having to give a fuck about dealing with them* if you don't want to. Corporation is a good club, best preceded by a load of quality beers in the Devonshire Cat.
