I don't understand the attractionSmaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

It was a lot worse a fw years ago, about the time the first movie and third book came out. You simply couldn't open a newspaper listen to the radio watch TV or go ANYWHERE without being constantly exposed to the hype. Completely put me off without ever reading any, I deliberately never went to see ET the movie for much the same reason.
