.What really gets on my tits is that my daughter goes to a non-denominational school where they pray to Jesus, go to church etc etc, all because its part of the government education guidelines. It's a non-denominational school ffs, surely the religious indoctrination of my child should be down to me.

Get yourself elected a parent governor thenand challenge him. School policies are decided by the whole board of governors, and all governors' votes carry equal weight.
