Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

People in the know know that Microsoft have set back the computing world by 5 to 10 years by peddling their half-arsed crap and pretending it's finished.
There is also that fact that Microsoft broke the law in order to prevent manufacturers selling computers with anything but Windows on it -- thus preventing real competition and true innovation.
Then there is the tendency of Microsoft to buy companies with cool products and turning out butchered and less impressive versions of their software (a recent one being Photosynth).
Then there are the HTML and other standards that Microsoft deliberately didn't follow -- making writing web pages supported by all browsers a nightmare. This is also a contributory factor in Flash becoming a de-facto standard for web video -- had MS got behind a real open standard we wouldn't need to install the bug-addled flash plugin to watch youtube and other sites.
I could go on but I won't.
