On finding out a friend of mine worked for an independant television broadcaster.....
......I asked her why the following shows were cancelled:-

Fun House
Bad Influence
Mike & Angelo
Finders Keepers
Mouse Trap
Knightmare
& (Original) Krypton Factor

Same answer for all of them - "Elf & fuckin Safety" :(

You couldn't see where you were going
(otherwise you'd just see a green room, and it would defeat the point of your team having to guide you), so you could run into a camera rig or something? Still seems unlikely.

Most complaints about Health and Safety are misdirected.
Stuff gets cancelled mainly because insurers wont insure certain things anymore without £LOL. And no-one wants to pay that... so stuff gets cancelled, and we blame health and safety. At least the media bods I know are honest about such things. Last of the Summer Wine has a much younger cast now because the insurers just wouldn't let old people do outdoor shots without a huge increase in the premium. It's stupid.
