Attempted conPlease, people, if you're going to pretend to be your mother/son/ex-wife when you call a utility company or the public service, at least have the decency to be convincing. I frequently get callers saying "my daugh- er, I sent the bill last month", I get men who are clearly in their 60s pretending to be 20 year olds (terribly unconvincing unless there's been a recent upswing in the use of terms like "cobber" and "fillum" amongst the cool kids), and the best one was the Indian chick who failed the security check when she said "I... don't know my birthday".
