Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

you're right....$6/hr is better than $0/hr. that is exactly what i tell those of my defendants and parolees who say they won't take a job that pays less than $20/hr. what i WANT to say is 'listen you idiot, you have felony convictions and if you don't pay what you owe the court then i will put you back in jail so stop sitting around the house living off mommie and get a freaking job at mcdonalds!"
