Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

He's quite a nice blokeand has been doing it for years like you say. He used to hang around outside the College campus quite a bit and just goes away if you tell him you've met him before.
There's another chap around Ipswich who does some weird scam which doesn't make sense. I've seen him two or three times now.
He comes into a reasonably quiet pub, I've seen him in Tonic a few times in the afternoon. He writes everything down on paper (frequently destroying your newspaper) and explains he just got out of jail (presumably he goes in and out quite a bit), buys you a drink, buys a couple of shots for himself. Then asks for a couple of quid and buggers off. I've never quite understood it.
