We did that.Of course i'm using 'we' as a collective for the nation.
As a commercial organisation itv just want more viewers. More viewers = more advertising revenue.
It's therefore pretty simple that the shit they broadcast is by popular demand. The more 'we' watch it, the more they'll show.
