Easy...My theory as to why Icke thinks this is a combination of Booze and "V" the TV Series from the 1980s.
He was an alcoholic back then, and I think in one of his alcoholic hazes he thought the lizards in "V" were real. Makes more sense that what he says (and I have sat through one of his seven hour stage shows!!)
