I can buy this to some degreethere's silly conspiracies - blood drinking lizards and reasonable (but different) interpretations of world events - and they get tarred with the same brush.

Perhaps all of the silly onesHave purposely been started and spread by 'them', the desired effect being that all are tarred with the same brush and no one takes anything that doesn't conform with the official version of events (otherwise known as a conspiracy theory) seriously.
Now THERE'S a conspiracy theory!
