there are few if any people who would actually deny Alan Turings contribution to Bletchley Park, or his groundwork on computing. The problem is, few people know about it.
There's no terrible injustice waiting to be righted with regard to his achievements. If you ask the general public who were Bletchleys heroes, or who conceived the modern computer, 95% of them will say 'No Idea'.
I think personally he was very badly treated, but he wasn't treated any differently to anyone else in the same situation at that time.
What is lacking is recognition. He really should have been knighted.
Sad story though.
