To Expand A Bit..
Here in Oz, we have to deal with these fuckwits: avn.org.au/
Every health fallacy known to man. They recommend massive doses of vitamins, crystal therapy, homoeopathy, holistic healing and other assorted mumbo-jumbo. Anything and everything rather than getting your kids vaccinated. One of their more outrageous claims is that Polio wasn't virtually eradicated in the West by the use of the Polio vaccine - Polio was dying out naturally anyway. The vaccine had fuck all to do with it.
I'm of the generation that can still remember seeing older people who's lives were destroyed by Polio. They didn't call it "the crippler" for nothing.

Close..
It's a Government kids tax credit worth a a couple of grand. You don't have to get your kids vaccinated but, if you don't, you don't get the credit.
To be honest, I don't agree with this approach. It's a way of forcing people to get vaccinations and just feeds the paranoia against vaccination.
I prefer the school approach. Many schools (especially the good ones) refuse to accept pupils who don't have a vaccination certificate. Which has given rise to schools who *advertise* for kids who's parents haven't vaccinated them. A measles or mumps outbreak in one of those schools is fun to watch. From a distance.
Cheers
