I have a similar theory about fear of “monsters”Even though we're not subject to predation anymore, we carry the genetic memory of massive great things that cannot be reasoned with and will eat your face.

It's the reason I don't likecauliflower. Space vegetables are like, really bad for you.
I don't mind spiders though. Not to eat, of course, I mean in general.
