What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?

Also... I was in Mexico last year,and we were diverted to Veracruz from the usual tourist trail due to rioting. Veracruz isn't really used to tourists, and neither are thier hotels.
I was greeted by the flithiest bathroom, dirtiest floor, broken windows, and when I pulled back the grubby sheets on the bed... insects. Lots and lots and lots of insects.
