What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?

Hilton Newbury NorthFor a Hilton, it is appalling. Crap room service food, damp walls, noisy rooms (motorway on 2 sides), carpets that don't fit the room, peeling wallpaper, showers that don't work, telly doesn't work, and the people I worked with stayed there too, so I had to face them at breakfast in the morning.
I've stayed in about 40 of the rooms there and they all had something wrong.
Every other Hilton I've ever stayed at has been either nice or brilliant.
