This is a question Hotel Splendido

Enzyme writes, "what about awful hotels, B&Bs, or friends' houses where you've had no choice but to stay the night?"

What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?

Add your crappy hotel experiences to our list.

Stayed there many moons ago.
Was on a training course in Feltham, and the food was, shall we say, *interesting*. I sent one nights dinner (not chile, but a supposed rare fillet steak) back 8 times, 6 times of which it was returned even more cooked. I don't think the "chef" knew anything about food unless it was "burn it to fuck", TBH.
We proceeded to get everyone up 12 times on the last night by setting off random fire alarm call points (we had the keys to test them, so it was a bastard for them trying to work out which one it was), as it was some kind of singles night in the "ballroom", and all the polyester shirts/ suits and flouncy skirts were parading around, and then off they went to their rooms to rut away. What a shithole.
