This is a question Hotel Splendido

Enzyme writes, "what about awful hotels, B&Bs, or friends' houses where you've had no choice but to stay the night?"

What, the place in Oxford that had the mattresses encased in plastic (crinkly noises all night), the place in Blackpool where the night manager would drum to the music on his ipod on the corridor walls as he did his rounds, or the place in Lancaster where the two single beds(!) collapsed through metal fatigue?

Add your crappy hotel experiences to our list.

Lucky me!
Having visited both of the idyllic paradises (paradii?) mentioned above, I must admit that the only thing that caused me any annoyance were the British and American tourists.

Nassau (Bahamas) is quite possibly even more stunning than those above, but is deeply marred by the 'Americans go Carribean' contingent.

Before I'm lynched by our 'merkin friends, I'd like to add that my best ever holiday was in the 'states. It seems that all of the nice and normal stay put and the fat arseholes travel the world. A conspiracy??
