What Makes You Cry?
That bit in the Railway Children when Jenny Agutter says "Daddy! My Daddy!". Gets me every time. I am 48 years old.

There's nothing wrong with saying no
provided you give a reason. Children love justification, it helps define boundaries. And then try and say yes to other things, so they don't just associate you with negatives.
Everyone wants to be a great parent, many of us think we are but few of us really are. It takes guts to admit it but it can easily get overwhelming. I bet you're doing all right really.

I hope I'm doing okay, I think I am, it's just that when I think I handled it badly or wrong it gets to me and makes me a feel a little teary eyed for the poor little suckers.
