And speaking of overhearing thingsThere's this old couple who come in every day. They're as hamless as can be. They usually spend the morning reading the paper together and then toddle off to the nearby cafe. For tea and cake I assume. Anyway, one morning I'm in the local studies library and there's just me at my desk and this old couple sat at the table opposite. All of a sudden the man leans over to his wife and whispers waaay too loudly:
"What's the difference between an unlawful killing and a murder?"

Must... stop... Well since you asked...Unlawful killing includes murder and manslaughter.
Murder is just murder. An unlawful killing of a human being during the Queen's peace with malice aforethought.
Manslaughter can be gross negligence (fucking up with Oxygen during an operation (Adomako)) or unlawful act (committing ABH but killing someone (no intent)).
