Yep, Im terrified of the dark because of a film.
I honestly mean it.
Im not scared of Gremlins as such, at 24 that would be Stupid.
Im scared of my overactive imagination, the fact that I never quite know what is making that strange noise outside my back door, could be a fox, could be a horribly scarred escaped mental patient with a hammer.

I watched Gremlins at age 4, so no wonder im a little traumatized by it.

God, don't sleep with the telly on.
Evil shit comes out of the telly in the night.
Things like zombie type japanese girls and other stuff that'll grab you and pull you into the telly.

I was a very timid child. Almost the polar opposite now. Gremlims left me in a terrible state at a young age - I remember lying in bed, with long shadows cast through the curtains by the lamp-post, being completely unable to sleep. Very over-active imagination - every creak of the house made it worse - and I didn't like going into the loft alone for quite a while.
