...i just cant seem to press the button that would say "yeah, i liked this story about depression and loss of life. It really cheered up my day and made me feel good about humanity" :p

I feel v. guilty about QOTWs like this. Ideally we need a full range of clicks

a) I like this post because its humorous content made me laugh/smile/slap the table(delete as appropriate).
b) I appreciate this post due to its heart-warming properties.
c) I'd like to show my support for the author of this post as they've been through some shit.

was always intended to mean "This is a story that was worth reading" so that the worth-reading stories percolated to the top.

Just because it's depressing as hell doesn't mean it isn't good.

...I think someone elses suggestion on the main board is possibly the best one though...its only thursday, recall this QOTW and replace. But meh, tis just my opinion :)
