That reminds me of the urban legend...
About a bloke who ran over a cat, stopped to see if it was still alive and saw a cat writhing on its back at the side of the road.
He got a shovel from his boot and twatted it one, only to find when he had killed it that there was a dead cat in his wheel arch.
Yup, the second cat he killed that day had been enjoying a nice back rub, and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
