Once persuaded a girlfriendto go and spend a winter as a chalet maid in some ski resort (in her gap year) whilst I went off to Uni. Of course we could have a 'long distance relationship'. In answer to your question, no, I genuinely didn't see the inevitable result coming! It's possible she made it almost a week before finding some local cockage.
