That old trick!Do this with my mates all of the time. Just push one into a girl as she's passing, so he can apologise and start a conversation. Works even better if he's not expecting it and has to think on his feet.
The best I've ever seen it work was when he tripped up in the process and knocked her drink out of her hand, to which she immediately demanded he take her to the bar and buy her a new one; they were inseparable all night!
