My Biggest Disappointment
Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."
Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.
What's disappointed you lot?

Top tip
To avoid disappointment in your life, believe that everything and everyone is fundamentally shit.
That way you are only ever pleasantly suprised.

I agree with the sentiment though.

I totally agree.
My motto is "Expect the worst".
Then anything better is a nice surprise.

I wish I could agree with this
my life would be so much easier if I didn't get excited about everything.
I even get excited about going to work incase something amazing happens on the way. It never does and I always end up feeling sad.
Ohhhh apart from a few weeks ago when an old man had a chow chow puppy with him on the tube. I was so happy I sicked in my mouth a little.

Kaol
I had a lunchtime date on Tuesday. I'd never met the guy - he said he'd be wearing a Radiohead t-shirt and jeans and that he'd meet me at the tube station. I was scared and decided to expect the worst.
15 minutes after the arranged meeting time, a very strange young man emerged from the station, wearing a Radiohead t-shirt. He started walking up to me, and I thought, 'Shit, look at him! WTF are we going to talk about over lunch? He barely looks capable of speech.'
Fortunately he walked straight past me - same t-shirt, different bloke.
The right one eventually turned up.
*pleasantly surprised*

I have a similar motto
"Optimism is for those who aren't intelligent to be pessimistic".
I am far too cynical really, I need to back it off a bit...
