My Biggest Disappointment
Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."
Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.
What's disappointed you lot?

One day....
My mum is one of *those* people, who once in a blue moon goes insane and gives everything in the house to the charity shop. And then disinfects the toaster. This is an unfortunate character to have as a mother as a child who greatly values their limited possessions.
wavy lines
I had been eating Kellogs cornflakes for weeks, despite the fact that they made me want to do a sick. And, from the back of these cornflakes, I had collected the tokens. I had put the tokens in an envelope, sent them to Kellogs, and been rewarded with Thunderbirds 1, 2, 3 and 4. I was now munching my way through cardboard flakes for the grand prize of Tracey Island. And I did it. I sent my tokens off, and it arrived at my house in its shiny wonder. It even had a button that would send messages from the control room. It had taken months, and now I had everything I had ever dreamed of.
About a month later my mum went insane, and *tidied*.
I never saw it again. It had gone by the time we went back.

with becky on this one
Tbirds are rubbish. However you do have my sympathy that is related to all breakfast cereal promotion products being crap. Like the parachuting snap/crackle/plop that I had to eat eight tonnes of rice crispies for when I was 8. a lovely white plastic tennisball sized ball, encasing a lovely red parachute with strings and a crackle on, which you chuck into the air, and is supposed to floatyfloaty float down gently to the ground in a lovely cool parachuty way? no. ball goes up. ball comes down. ball does not open. ball smashes on floor. child cries. the end.
hello MM!

I was always a fan of 'Biker Mice From Mars' when I was a kid
That, and 'Transformers'
Never really liked Thunderbirds. I thought 'Team America' was what Thunderbirds should have been like.

I remember watching biker mice from mars
once only. At butlins at 6am while my assorted friends were frantically rutting with their prizes for the night. I wasn't interested so mine was made to stay up all night and watch bad tv instead.
Still remembering the theme music brings chaotic pictures to my head.

Chaotic pictures? Were you, perchance, stoned that night? The same thing happened to me while watching 'Knightmare' after one too many joints

Nope
for once considering I was a total stoner when I was 16. Chaotic pictures refers to the lasting memories I have of my friend Sarah frantically searching the flat for some clingfilm or a balloon so she could have sex with her conquest as neither had any condoms.
*safety first kids*
Off to make some food, back soon.

Evenin' all!
Thunderbirds FTW! But not the new film, that was rubbish.
*click for insane mother understanding*
EDIT:
I have just seen the most disgusting advert. In a kind of SATC way, there are some ladies wot lunch. One sits down looking miserable, and another says "bad hair day?"
She replies: "No, when I went to the loo it was really hard and it hurt!"
She then gets some caring advice (take this product, it helps soften your poo), and they finish on a joke:
"I had a painful shit once..."
"But then she got rid of him."
Laugh? I nearly passed a solid turd. :)

Leaps in with a testosterone fuelled (and Bourboun-enabled) stagger.
Evening all, is this the chat thread for tonight then?
And Becky- how come you are so thin and gorjus when you are always hunting for food? Or are you just a bad hunter?

Everyone at the bash said I looked nothing like my profile pic :) On the matter of food, I'm not into food in a big way, so it's only when an ad comes on tv or I smell something tasty that I remember I haven't eaten in hours so go to make foodstuffs. Tonight...fried cheesy toast. mmm...

Whaddya think of "Saturday Nights..." then?
I think it's a great album, has some really stand out tracks on it. It'll never be 'August', but I just love the songwriting.
Looking forward to Donovan Frankenreiter too, and booked tickets for Thrice later in the year tonight. 2008 is all about Live Music and Vegas!
EDIT: And Spore. My creatures rock!

Am managing to curb my b3ta addiction. Got some job applications sent off today and dismantled my computer so I could clean dust out it's innards.
Have spent the past hour or so skimming through this week's QOTW and offering sympathy hugs to anyone who needs them.
