This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

Icon
Call me stupid, but what is it?

I'm glad spimf got the icon though, I've been following this saga quite avidly for a while now.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:11, closed)
To rub it in...
Because of all the drama I decided to get an icon.

Took 10 minutes! ;)
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:11, closed)
It's the little picture
next to the username.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:13, closed)
No fair
you got a cool one. How much did you donate DiT?
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:13, closed)
i have to say
i was taken back at some of the abuse i got

i thought B3tards realised whinging was the British thing to do *stands*

*remembers Scotishness -sits down again and eyes battered confectionary lasciviously*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:17, closed)
flexes multiple icon abilites
THAT MUCH!

*rich rich rich i tells ya*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:20, closed)
Sorry to butt in, but...
...spimf really does deserve some kind of vocabulary award for getting "battered", "confectionary" and "lasciviously" into the same sentence...

*hands over imaginary award*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:25, closed)
cheers pie person
*panics that wind will change and less preferred icon may stick*

*orders thesaurus from amazon to maintain volcanic linguistic lavaflow*

*wonders if there is a better word for thesaurus*

*smarms*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:34, closed)
Well
there aren't a lot of options, but I've always had a healthy attachment to 'lexicon'...

... which ironically has "icon" in it, which brings us round-robin nicely.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:43, closed)
ah (adopts stephen fry haughty but wise position)
a lexicon is merely a catalogue of recognised words and their accepted meanings whereas a thesaurus is a collection of similar, related or alternate terms

*realises chances with madam Marlboro have wafted away due to linguistic nerdiness*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:50, closed)
Not at all
I'm rather prone to a large vocabulary.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:52, closed)
Madam Marlboro
I know where the icon is, I just can't for the life of me figure out what it is.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:54, closed)
mate thats not the icon
its the clitoris
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:55, closed)
Badum
Tssssh!
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 0:56, closed)
Indeed,
point taken. Ironic that a given thesaurus would provide so few words.

Anyhoo, anyone who adopts a Stephen Fry position of any kind gets a tick in my book (-:

I'm currently absorbing with glee 'Moab is my Washpot' so words are being added to my vocab by the day.

(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:03, closed)
Oh dear god
after a bottle of Gallo, even I'm not sure anymore... Was there a joke?

Let's hope so.

In all seriousness, I really do like Mr Fry.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:04, closed)
Yeah.
That.

Oh, look where this post is now in my profile.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:05, closed)
@spimf
Haha! May I be so bold as to request the borrowage of your thesaurus? Or your brain?

Either's good...
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:07, closed)
Tell me what that icon is, please I'm dying to know.
I've seen the walruses/Hitler/snails/crude penises bit I can't for the fucking cunting life of me work out what it is. This may have something to do with the fact that I've had a bit to drink...

Is it;

A - Some sort of embossed 'No Entry' Sign'?
B - A kind of angled, shut clam?
C - A paracetamol?
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:11, closed)
dave
it's a pill
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:12, closed)
I'm going for

THANK YOU.
This has really been irritating me more than it should.

*beats the geek inside him back*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:22, closed)
I gave up on the thighs a while ago
Coffee table can take the heat better than the legs.

Well, as much as this minor excusion into non-lurkdom has been fun, I'm off to bed.

'night all.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:26, closed)
Nerdiness is worse
when you can recognise fonts straight away...

I can do that sometimes.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 1:27, closed)
I hereby complain about spimf's vocabulary award
on the grounds that he spelt 'confectionery' incorrectly.
