CBT isn't a miracle cure but...It's true that CBT doesn't work for everyone, and it's totally irresonsible to pretend that it does. But it can work, and it's one of the best treatments we have right now. I know a number of people who have had CBT, it hasn't been a miracle cure, but it has helped some of them incredibly. Like anything, the quality of the CBT can vary - you may have got a crap psychologist! It's terrible that you had to wait so long to get it, and I hope you find something that works for you.
