This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

I think the advice should be
Never buy a bike shaped object from a shop that has no knowledge of what a bike is and should be capable of.

Unfortunately a bike that is going to get you from A to B without either breaking or being very unpleasant to ride is going to set you back around about £200. If you're paying significantly less than that then the components are going to be cheap and the frame is going to be heavy. It's a case of getting what you pay for.

Can he get the cycle to work scheme at his job? If so it's a really good idea as you save about 40% of the total price of the bike and you pay it off in instalments.

Or failing that, try Halfords, they are not great, but are better than Argos.

Also, the whole job experience thing sucks, try registering with a load of agencies to at least get some experience while you try and get the job you actually want.
