Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

My mum's still kicking
Not much sympathy there, sorry.

But she did not so long ago mention to me, "Alien, I want to see you happy. But for Gods sake, I DO NOT want to be a grandmother."
