This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

HBO has disappointed me twice.
The first time was with Deadwood. Three seasons of it, culminating in a massive showdown between the town and George Hearst, a massive set-up cliffhanger style, and then... NOTHING. They dropped it.

The second time was Carnivale. First season was wonderfully creepy and otherworldly, second season was starting to really develop the characters and answer some of the questions, they got to a godawful cliffhanger, and then... NOTHING. They dropped it.

*ahem* Sorry about that. They've annoyed me twice now, and will not get another chance.

Oh I miss that so much. Apparently they'd planned in a 6 series arc.

Did hear that they were considering bringing it back as a graphic novel series a la Firefly. Would be better than nowt.

I'd be okay
with a graphic novel- I just hated that they left it dangling like that.

Oh, btw- did you know that Brother Justin does the voice of Mr. Crabs on Spongebob?

Never heard of Carnivale
but I love Deadwood - shame they're not making anymore. They also murdered series II of Rome.

HBO are complete c*nts...
They also did the same with Rome. Although they didn't leave it at a cliffhanger it was another fantastic series that they dropped so that they could carry on producing cheap shite.

Well fair play to HBO
They've let the guys from The Wire do pretty much what they want.

I think TV stations are only now realising the value of DVD boxsets, even if a show doesn't get great ratings first time out.

absolutely Mr Threepwood
The Beeb rakes in dough off their boxsets. I still have a complete Blackadder on video cassette (10 of them).

The lost Room
I heard really great reports about this 'series' so paid out for the DVD box set.

Its a series alright.

A blucking MINI series.

Good though.

Now I want The Dresden Files. (My stepson was buying it for me for Xmas, then in March for my birthday. Last seen for £17.99 in Blockbuster, its mine on payday.

Exchange HBO for Showtime
and you have how I feel about Dead like me.
