DIY disastersI just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.
Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

'Tis easyI've access to loads of mooring pins. Long cork-screw bits of metal that we use to anchor bouys, moorings etc, to the river bed. I was going to use them.
And, at the point I was going to setup the ambush
the water is only knee-deep at low tide. The tide round those parts varies from 3 to 7 meters depending on the day.
