Nope...Lad but pronounced "lid" as in "Alright lid, you goin the pub later lid?" Thought a lid was something you put on a bottle/jar but I digress...

Youare a scouser so not arguing but 'lid' sounds like a South African saying 'lad'. Used to work with a Scouser and he explained it was pronounced 'Lar' or 'Lars' for multiple.
Edit - After checking on the web, both words are used....
