A former colleague of mine ...Earnt himself the nickname 'Gripper' by reaching inside a TV to change the CRT. He'd turned the power off but hadn't discharged the caps.
I leave the rest to your imagination, but apparently the resulting spasm was enough for him to snap the back off the tube!
