I did the sameOnly it was the thumb joint - which I cracked - three weeks before my wedding. A&E doc said "that was a bit silly". Yeah, thanks mate.
Much sticky strapping which was filthy within a couple of days. Ended up soaking it in hot water to get it off after four days, it hurt like hell for about a month.
