The woman, being the good citizen she is, clears up the dog's befoulings with a plastic bag.

She then, quite thoroughly, and meeting surprisingly little protestation, wipes the dog's arse.

that fails to see anything the slightest bit odd in this? An Old English Sheepdog is very long-haired. If you don't clean long haired dogs they end up with matted shit around their arses, and can get infections, not to mention getting shit on your sofas etc.

we bred the fuckers to look like that. Least we can do is wipe their arses for them.

I should clarify
that her thoroughness suggested she was doing more than just cleaning the dog's fur. It looked like full preventative measures to any sort of clarty ringpiece.

There's a posh district on the edge of Lancashire and Yorkshire where I go hiking on weekends, and ladies in barbour jackets are often seen wiping thier dogs' bums. One time I even saw someone spray water over the dog's bum from a handy squeezy bottle she carried with her. (mobile canine bidet)
Suppose it makes sense if its a long haired variety, and you dont want to see your dog doing the two-legged bum-crawl dance all over your Persian carpet.
