Since 2001:I've had a keyfob with the RSPCA's number.
It has been used - I found a baby runt-of-the-litter hedgehog which had been strimmed back in 2001. It had a whopping great gash down its back. It would never have survived the winter, so I phoned the number, brought it home and took it to the local shelter the next day, plus a wodge of notes* for its upkeep.
*Yeah, I'm too damn nice for my own good.
