Tech mistakeI was instaling a circuit board to a server and instead of using the recommended DCF-15969049 I used the the less expensive DCF-15969049-B. In a matter of weeks, the whole system went into meltdown and crashed, losing the company £4 trillion. Their operation in Ecuador went belly up and a cholera epidemic followed shortly after that, precipitating a coup and then a civil war. This spilled over into neighbouring countries and a wave of genocide washed over south and central America causing the deaths of countless millions.
The irony? Had I used the DCF-15969049 circuit board, it would only have cost the company an extra £13. As it was, most of the senior management committed suicide. I blamed a Ukranian lackey for the mistake and he was sent back to his own country, where he and his family were executed for politcal reasons.
