This is a question Pointless Experiments

Pavlov's Frog writes: I once spent 20 minutes with my eyes closed to see what it was like being blind. I smashed my knee on the kitchen cupboard, and decided I'd be better off deaf as you can still watch television.

Yeah
Past forty something hours it started getting really freaky. As I approached 50 hours the hallucinations were really quite alarming and almost served to keep me awake! Dazzling colurs and shapes in the sky, dark spots where I wasn't focussing my sight. I'd see/imagine something then realise it wasn't right and have to battle in my mind to decide if what I was looking at now was real or the thing I was seeing a second or so ago. In other words doubting the real world and convincing myself the hallucination was right and now I was hallucinating.

I became a total danger to myself and was less use than a water paperclip.
