Fell overMetal tent peg of the big 'flat top and hit with a hammer' type. All torn up and rusty due to being hit repeatedly over the years. Fell on it, cut wrist 'across the road' and up my hand to between my thumb and forefinger.
Still there 5 or so years later - didn't hurt at first, but then the pain hit.
It's quite interesting, actually, how big gashes (teehehe) just don't seem to hurt at first, maybe they will later or maybe they never do. Fucking burns, on the other hand... [especially on a once infected and so now very temperature sensitive thumb].
