This is a question Family codes and rituals

Freddy Woo writes, "as a child we used to have a 'whoever cuts doesn't choose the slice' rule with cake. It worked brilliantly, but it's left me completely anal about dividing up food - my wife just takes the piss as I ritually compare all the slice sizes."

What codes and rituals does your family have?

My parents let me drive very quickly up the driveway
at the end of my drive home to see them. They've got a long drive.

What's your point? That MM's childish for not wanting her CDs to be the right way up?
I spent 2 hours sorting my CD & DVD collection out again yesterday. Then a further hour sorting my books into height order, followed by alphabetical order (just by first letter, that way I'm told it's not OCD:P), then by thickness.

MM's behaviour really isn't that odd. Which makes me think you're probably trying to look real grown up in front of all these these other people. So you're probably somewhere around 16.
*waits for "Actually, I'm 32 AND A HALF" response*
