PerhapsIt's a simple spelling mistake (exacerbated by repetition). Try Flugelbinder instead.

Doesn't matter how you spell it... it's still not the right word. See the last entry in the FAQ here: www.fieggen.com/shoelace/faq.htm
Although I suppose it's the nature of words that if it keeps going long enough it'll become the right word eventually.
