Family Feuds
Pooster tells us that a relative was once sent to the shops to buy an onion, while the rest of the family went on a daytrip while he was gone. Meanwhile, whole sections of our extended kin still haven't got over a wedding brawl fifteen years ago – tell us about families at war.

Ah yes.
When I was doing my A-levels, my father was also of the opinion that Oxford, Cambridge and possibly Edinburgh were the only three universities worth thinking about, and anything else is just a glorified poly. I decided to go to KCL (something to do with it having one of the top-rated music departments in the world at the time), but applied to Cambridge and Edinburgh too, to appease him. Got an unconditional offer from Edinburgh, and a choral scholarship to Cambs. However, Cambs didn't offer me a full place. My father didn't speak to me for two weeks after I got the rejection letter. It was only the fact that, when I graduated, KCL was rated higher than Cambridge, that made him admit that maybe he'd been a bit harsh.
