Family Feuds
Pooster tells us that a relative was once sent to the shops to buy an onion, while the rest of the family went on a daytrip while he was gone. Meanwhile, whole sections of our extended kin still haven't got over a wedding brawl fifteen years ago – tell us about families at war.

My oldest brother is almost 40
and still lives at home with my parents. My other brother and me bitch and whine and moan about how the elder one hasn't had a days responsibility in his life. He's an alcoholic and doesn't have a job. My parents are in their 60s and quite frankly don't need him being there and being a burden. They both have high blood pressure and my ma is diabetic, so they aren't in the best health to look after a nearly 40 year old spoilt brat.
Until he's been seen to sort himself out (i.e. gone into a drying out clinic) he's been told, in no uncertain terms, that he's not welcome at my wedding. That's a hard thing for me because he's my big brother and I love him but it's the only way I can make sure he doesn't wreck it by getting pissed up and making a show of himself and us as a family, like he did at my other brother's wedding.

know how you feel...
my dad is diabetic and my mum has osteoporosis (spelling?) in the spine, and he has her running around making him cups of tea and making his bed and packed lunches.
It's a shame cos when i was very young my middle bro was very good to me and looked after me most of the time. He did fill my head full of lies and stupid stories, and at one point I almost became very like him as a result.
