I discovered an allergy while at a festival once. A street clown pulled me out of the crowd and put Zinc all over my face.

It burned my skin so bad I looked like a lobster.

that's about it. Oh. And I used to busk at the same festival - it was good money!

Normally
zinc oxide cream is used to soothe inflamed skin.

I think maybe you were having an adverse reaction to the clown.

Possible - but,
considering everytime I've tried to use a product with Zinc or Zinc Oxide in it I've had exactly the same reaction, I'm more inclined to think it's the Zinc.
