This is a question FIGHT!

Dr Preference wants to hear your stories about fighting. Ever started a fight? Ever seen a spectacular bar brawl? Or did you hide in a kebab shop when chased by West Ham football hoolies? The first rule of B3ta Fight Club is that you WILL talk about B3ta Fight Club.

Bar room brawl
It was one of the dodgiest nightclubs I've ever been in, the kind of place that people go to after everywhere else has closed and thanks to their extremely liberal drugs policy I was there with a couple of mates for a few rounds of beers and spliffs after a long day when someone ran past us and as if a switch had been flicked the whole place erupted into a huge fight. It was just like in the movies - at one point I had to pick up my beer as a body went flying across the table and although we managed to stay out of the worst of it, we were still inside when the police arrived and started taking statements. Mindful of the bag of green I was halfway through smoking I tried to get us out of there as quickly as possible, while my most stoned mate thought it was a better idea to try and chat up the young WPC taking his statement.

are you familiar with the three act structure ?
You can't just stop halfway through act 2

The third act is a bit longwinded
It involves me getting a job at said nightclub and through talking to the bouncers, finding out the full story of what happened that night.

Basically some fuckwit who worked part-time as a bouncer at one of the pubs in town had seen a couple having a bit of a domestic in the street outside the club. Despite all of the club's bouncers warning him to leave it, he decided to intervene and in the process he'd hit the woman in the face. She was the person we'd seen running past us, in through the club's back door and back to the rest of their friends shouting that one of the bouncers had just hit her. They started on all the club's bouncers who were - in this instance - completely blameless, hospitalising two of them.

I asked if they'd considered a bit of "natural justice" for this guy, at which they laughed and said that he was enough of a laughing stock already - in the intervening period he'd picked up his six year-old son, who'd promptly headbutted him in the mouth and knocked his front teeth out.

I like it - you've deconstructed the timeline and undermined my expectations.
The first act occurred before the events of the original post.
This is the kind of cliché-confounding narrative that the writers of the matrix sequels could only dream of.
I realise this all looks a bit sarcastic.
