My dad used to work on the Ballachulish ferry.One of the guys he worked with was called Charon, because he once got in a fight with someone and hit them over the head with a shovel, killing them.

Not sure of all the cultural references above......but I love the Ballachulish ferry. Go through on the way up to Mull each year.
